Death Squared Dev Says Games on the Switch eShop Can No Longer Be Under $1.99
Information technology is no hush-hush that the massive success of the Nintendo Switch has also brought on an onslaught of cheap, terrible games on the Nintendo eShop. Many times, if you were to scan through the deals section, many games would cost less than a dollar. According to a developer, Nintendo has implemented a new dominion that will try to fix the issue.
A programmer from SMG Studios, the devs behind Death Squared, stated over on r/NintendoSwitchDeals that their game was at the time only $0.99 on the eShop and that it will exist the everyman price information technology will always exist on the eShop. As of right now, it appears the dev has edited their response. Nevertheless, Nintendo Life was able to study on it before the bulletin was inverse. Previously, the dev also stated: "New Rules on the eShop hateful no game tin can be below $ane.99 and this is 99c because I planned this sale dorsum in Aug!"
The auction for Expiry Squared is no longer bachelor and as I scroll through the deals section of the eShop correct at present, I am able to simply detect ii games nether the price indicate. But as the dev noted, the sales might have been previously planned before the change was initiated.
Polygon had reported that Nintendo recently made some changes that would non allow a game that toll only a single cent to be on the "best sellers" section of the eShop.
I am happy to meet that Nintendo is obviously making some much-needed changes to its virtual storefront. The eShop has been progressively getting more than and more chaotic as the success of the Nintendo Switch continues to rising. Oftentimes times, the deals section would be flooded with games that would cost only pennies simply so that they would become some recognition on the platform in hopes that someone would buy it. Hopefully, we go some official word from Nintendo on this shortly. However, I doubt we will considering Nintendo allows some of these experiences to exist on the platform in the first place.
Have something to tell united states of america about this commodity?
